We measure. We don’t guess.

BallerIndex was founded in Leeds in 2025 with one conviction: a child’s football development deserves evidence, not opinion. Most youth assessment is a coach’s eye on one session, remembered imperfectly and compared to nothing. We built a system that captures a drill on a phone, measures the movement with computer vision, and assesses it against predefined benchmarks — using an AI trained by coaches — before a single word reaches a parent.
Every BallerCard™ and Performance Report says only what the footage supports. When a capture can’t be measured, we say so — and tell the player exactly how to unlock it next time. No invented scores. BallerIndex is built around individual development, not public comparison. Any ranking or group features are private to a player’s club or academy and shared only with consent. One measured snapshot, from one drill, on one day.
Our Founder · Ravinder Rehal
Built by a parent, for every player.
BallerIndex started at home. Founder Ravinder Rehal, with football-mad sons, wanted to know how they were really progressing — and found no honest way to measure it. So he built one.
What began as one parent’s problem has grown into a platform built for global access. The rule from day one: no barriers. All BallerIndex needs is a phone and a camera, so cost and geography never decide who gets seen. Academy-level drills, real data, and a route to academy and scout access — open to any player, anywhere.
“Talent is everywhere. The chance to prove it isn’t. Now, all it takes is a phone — a stage for every player to show what they’ve got.”
Built with the people who develop players.
“BallerIndex is not an assessment. It is a development standard.”
BallerIndex is developed alongside professional coaches, academy staff and the families who use it every week — including coaches who have played and won at the highest level of the English game. Every measurement is designed with them and tested on real sessions, and the AI that assesses each drill is trained by them. We work with academies seeking accreditation, scouts who want evidence rather than hearsay, and parents who want to see the reasoning behind every piece of feedback their child receives.
From our base in Leeds, we’re building the standard for youth football measurement — in the UK directly, and globally through partner-led programmes powered by BallerIndex. Academies, federations and coaching networks can run their own player development on our platform, with every measurement verifiable and every band dated to the drill session it came from. If you coach, run an academy, scout, or are a parent who wants the evidence — join us.
