STRUCTURED MEASUREMENT APPLIED TO STRUCTURED EXECUTION.

BallerIndex does not rely on sensors, wearables, or specialist infrastructure. Using advanced optical motion intelligence, the AI measures drill performance from standard video capture — extracting precise, repeatable data on movement quality without the friction of hardware dependency.

BallerIndex does not evaluate the unpredictable. It evaluates the controllable. In a structured drill, what the AI measures forms a picture of a player’s Technical Floor — the repeatable execution habits that sit beneath every elite performance.

Matches are chaotic environments; drills are controlled. And control is the prerequisite for comparison. Without controlled measurement, there is no benchmark — only opinion.

THE FIVE-STEP PROCESS

  1. 01

    Pick Your Benchmark Drill

Players and academies choose from a structured library of benchmark drills — each designed to isolate a specific technical skill. Prepare to be evaluated on execution, not effort.

  2. 02

    Upload Your Drill

No specialist equipment required — a standard smartphone camera is sufficient. Angle, distance, and framing are specified in advance so every submission enters the system ready to be assessed.

  3. 03

    Analysis

The AI processes the footage frame by frame — mapping every key joint through every change of direction, comparing timing across every repetition, and comparing each attempt with a coach’s execution of the same drill. Coaches trained it on what good looks like, so every attempt is assessed against the same predefined benchmarks.

  4. 04

    The Report

Every player receives a structured Performance Report. Where performance is strong, the report names it as a signature strength; where development is required, it identifies the priority area and provides targeted guidance.

  5. 05

    Your Band

The AI places the drill on the five bands from Grassroots to Elite. A band is the dated result of a named drill session. Drills can be retaken. This is not a rating. It is a record.

04 · The Standard

FIVE PERFORMANCE BANDS

A FORM is a completed BallerIndex assessment output — one named drill, assessed by the AI against predefined benchmarks that coaches trained it on. Each valid FORM places a band: the dated result of that drill session.

The benchmarks behind each band are predefined and set by coaches, and they do not bend for anyone. The higher the band, the more demanding the benchmark.
